The gases widely applied to the glass industry include hydrogen, ethyne, oxygen, and nitrogen. The molding equipment of gloat glass contains melted tin liquids, which is easily oxidized and produces stannic oxide. Resultantly, tin sticks to the glass, which increases the consumption of tin. Hence the molten tin bath should be sealed and filled with an endless stream of purified hydrogen-nitrogen gas to maintain the positive pressure and reducing atmosphere that prevents the tin liquid from being oxidated. The oxygen consumed by the gloat glass factory depends on the production scale, ranging from 80 to 150 m3/h. Hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water and purified before being sent to the molten tin bath, with a purity level of 99.999%.
